This cake was for Jake's first birthday. The theme was baseballs. So we started with little red velvet baseball cupcakes.... Then we move on to the cake which is the baseball field...super cute!

Christmas Cookies

So we made our annual Christmas Cookies, and they turned out super cute. The key is the recipe. A lot of sugar cookies puff up so much when you bake them that they lose their shape. Whats the point of making a candy cane cake if it doesn't look like a candy cane when it's done? So here are the cookies, and the recipe...enjoy:)

2/3 cup butter

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 tsp. orange zest

1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 egg

2 cups sifted flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

pinch of salt

bake at 375 for 6-8 minutes
